Cup Marked Stones

The eighth grade of Kerimäki upper secondary school explored the history of cup-marked stones, which were once used to commemorate the deceased, under the guidance of archaeologist Martti Koponen. Most of the cup-marked stones are located in Kerimäki, so the history of the stones was to some extent familiar to the pupils. On the trip they also explored marked stones under the guidance of local expert Sulo Strömberg.
