A cruise on the S/S Mikko steamboat

The project Hurrah for Prehistory! commenced with a shared cruise aboard the S/S Mikko, Savonlinna Provincial Museum’s museum steamboat, and the world’s only tar steamer. During the cruise the boat circumnavigated the Saimaa archipelago. There was time to get to know different groups while enjoying coffee and pie. Young people and guides who took part in the Hurrah for Prehistory! project also took a cruise on the S/S Mikko in the autumn to explore nature and a farm on Laukansaari Island.
